make car pop and bang? (like anti lag)

i usually find if you retard the ignition timing to near TDC in the high vac parts of the map and lean it off the car will pop and bang. It gets anoying after a while and i usually change the map back again after a bit!

Could do, but then so can a lot of things. Chances are if you are bright enough to be re-mapping your car then you will have a fair idea of what the AFR/EGT restraints are for the cat

Mine used to pop and bang when changing gears when had baileys dump valve on (overfueling ?), so changed it back to original after few weeks of having the car and now there's no pops or bangs - and feels a lot smoother when changing gears!

Remap with full de-cat will get it popping n banging with flames if the right people map it correctly for you (scoobyclinic being one of them). Mine scares the bejeezus out of people, very funny though the missus tends to cringe when i do it on purpose lol

Wasn't aimed at you mate, quite the opposite as you had the sense to take it off. Apologies if you thought otherwise.
Just having a dig at the 10 page thread on here a week or so ago when some would not accept that for many Scoobs a VTA DV with no other mods is not a good thing. The OP in this thread kind of reminded me of one of those with the whole 'I want it to pop and bang' thing LOL!

just need the map tweeked to add fuel to the over run, also need a decat.
99% of road cars that claim to have anitlag its so mild will make no difference except the pops nad bangs, yet it will still damage the turbo and possibly the engine valves. stay clear of it is my advice
