New type R owner.
Hiya guys,I just thought I'd come say hello.
I just bought a 99 V6 type R and I'm just waiting for it to be registered before I can pick it up.Hopefully tomorrow.
I had an Evo 3 for the last 5 years and last month I thought it was time for a change so I picked up an e46 BMW which was a bad idea.
I kept it for 4 weeks and just had to have another import,so I went back to the garage to see what he had and this type r had just come off the boat and after a drive I just had to have it.
Anyway it's got 49000 on the clock and has been kept completely standard and original. Here's a few pics,
Looking forward to spending a lot of time on here and plan on doing some mods in the near future.
I'm so excited I can't sleep.
Regards.
Danny.

Hi buddy great looking car, very clean too.
Just to point out, it looks like a version 5 though as the version 6 has a lower splitter on the front bumper and your car also has the version 5 spoiler too. The cars are almost identical apart from a few minor differences. Welcome to the "R" club....

I keep popping up to take more photos as an excuse to sit in it for a bit.
This looks like a great forum with loads of info. It's gonna take months to read through everything.
Thanks.
Danny.

Lovely looking car fella, £6300 is all the way though. Suppose you have to pay a premium at a dealer though.
This one looks amazing value https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...-only-60k.html
Wonder how long you will manage to keep it standard, when that bug gets ya it doesn't let go, lol.

Not sure about them having an uprated clutch, but i can confirm about pressing the clutch pedal to start it. Foxed me when i test drove a version 6 Type R V Ltd.
