threaded wheel nut ?

Default threaded wheel nut ?

i have just re-painted my alloys and treated them to a set of black wheel nuts . but i over tightened one and it wont tighten up fully ! it is the thread on the nut thats damaged not the hub so that was a relief , is there a way i can fix this problem ? as a new set out of the question and findin a matchin one on its own is gonna b a nightmare ! cheers guys

Why can't you just get a new set of nuts?

You can always try ebay for a replacement one.

Perhaps if you post up a picture of your nuts, someone might have a couple which are surplus to their requirement ;-)

They must be crap nuts if you managed that. Buy some better ones

Try taking them to a local engineering company they might be able to assist and it might be a cheap option.
