Hi. I'm considering to port and wrap my standard headers on my V2 Sti. Mods so far:
- Major_Sarcasm CHiP
- Decat centre section and Sports Cat downpipe
- K&N 57i IK
- PFR 7B's spark plugs

And some other mods like suspension, brakes etc.

My question is: Can I run ported headers with CHIP fitted or my car will need a proper remap ?

Also, I read that is good to change the uppipe as well. Where from can I get the correct one and how much does it cost ?

Harvey Smith is the man to ask, what he doesn't know about induction ain't worth knowing

he will sell you exchange ported headers, plus an up-pipe matched to both your turbo and the headers.

He will also know if a remap is desirable, or a necessity.

 

i ran ported headers on a jap chip and it was fine on the rollers
