Default bidding went crazy !

Iv'e been searching for a tow vehicle for a few months now,and narrowed it down to one 88k 1995 range rover 4.0l p38,full history long mot and tax.
After few emails back and forth the guy actually emailed me and said if i wanted it i could have it for £1400 .

I thought id'e hold back and see what it goes for £1400 being my highest bid, well couldnt believe my eyes at the last few minutes it finally went for 1k over his accepted offer to me .

Wished i snapped his hand off gutted cause it was a cracker !

On ebay I offered a girl £1200 once for her Hot Pink bodykitted Pug 106, she refused and it went on auction for £700.

Your right about the engines, well known for being bullet proof. Drives perfect with lots of power when you want it, even returns late 20's on a run.
They come fully equipped too, elec/heated leather, cruise, cd changer, elec everything, duel zone climate, etc etc etc.
The first owner was Mr John Anderson, he was the ref on the successful programme Gladiators. He bought it new and then sold it to a close friend of his when the car was about 5 years old. I then purchased it from him about a year ago.
A hell of alot of car for £2000 I think.

Luck of the draw, depends what you are bidding on, the finishing DAY and TIME, and even the season.

In your case, LOTS of folk will have been out for the first time this year over Easter with their caravans, thinking of going again as they had such a nice time and away they go bidding on that.

I've had the same thing happen on early evening weekday endings.

Then I've forgotten something that ended at 2am, and so has everyone else, so it goes for 50% of it's worth

I never said it was a world famous celeb !!!
He's still a celeb though fella. And 'clutching at straws', I don't for one minute think it increases the value pal. It's just part of it's history.

Full service history, mostly at Jeep. Tax runs out end of the month and it's tested until august. If I were to sell it I'd stick a years ticket on it anyway.
I'll get some pics up when I get chance fella.

Hello buddy,
Yep used the clay yesterday. Washed, clayed then polished. Came up a treat. Thanks for that fella.
Fitting a few goodies today and picking up a roll cage tomorrow. I'll be happy with it soon, after she makes 410 that is, lol.
Hows your car, organized any meets yet ???

OP, sorry for going off topic.
I'll get some pics of the jeep and get them up for ya.

p38 are great cars but as said above if you get a dog you will regret it as can get very expensive however there are some out there with suspension faults etc that can be bought for peanuts and quite a cheap fix just look into them befor buying and find the common faults (allow some time it's a long list lol) but would still have another Tomoz

Nice one comes up real smooth doesnt it! Nothing on the meet front at moment, was hoping few people would be up for b road blast over easter but no one showed any real interest on the EA section.
