Default Quick E.C.U. question.

My E.C.U. was reset during a service today, and as an afterthought I am wondering if this could have any adverse affect on the remap I had on the car last year, I apologise in advance if it is a daft question.

its a sensible question, my question is, does the car feel different? as in, does it feel like the map has been removed?

A reset cannot alter the "Map".........it does howver reset any learning and IAM values that the ECU willheve "Learnt" while you were driving the car.

There is nothing to worry about

It does feel a little different astra dave, though hard to explain how.Midlife, I presume the E.C.U.will relearn in a short time.
Thanks for replying.

Yes.......especially the newage, The DENSO ECU has a pretty active learning mode and will advance ignition / IAM pretty quickly, particularly during spirted driving.
