Default splitting block

im having big troubles removing the 10 x long bolts which hold the block halves together. even the ones outside of the water jacket wont budge wihout rounding off. are they usually this stubbon? ive even knocked on a 11mm socket and that rounded off.
the only options i see left are lots of heat or drilling.
any tips please?

Drill them - you only have to go approx. 8mm deep through the center of the head to release the torque/tension on them - been there and done it many times with corroded coolant gallery bolts.

yup ive started drilling! found a long 3mm drill which will fit down to start em off nice and centre. working up to a 10mm. i guess then there will be no tension and i can use an extractor on them.
