Lightbulb Another insurance renewal. UPDATED WEEKLY TILL 4/4/2011

I have just had my price come through for my heavily modded wrx and was expecting the renewal to come in over £1000 but was only £917. Im well happy with that but i am renowned for being a bargain hunter so i will keep u updated on how cheap i actually get it for lol.
If the renewal is coming in at 917 im looking at paying 6 something lol. Its ambitious but i like a challenge.
I will be in touch with gary at KM as he seems to be the man to beat looking at other threads but time will tell.

mind if i ask how much no claims you have mate?

reason i ask is i have gone from 10 years to one so think i might be paying more than the £490 i paid last year!!

How old are you and what ncd do you have? I ask because my lad is getting higher figures for an unmodded 56 plate Clio 197 Sport at 25 with 4 years ncd.

If you find a decent insurer, let us know, please, some are taking the p*ss now

I keep reading about insurance hikes. Sadly for me, I think it may be the end of my car come renewal time if I get some silly price

I'm too old to be paying silly money to insure a car like this! I love the car and don't want to sell it but why can't someone offer a decent rate for somone who hardly uses their pride and joy! I think I did 2k miles in it last year! I've done 25k in the last 6 months in my transit

My premium was £700 last time and by the way people are talking on forums it'll be near a grand. What with the insurance going up for women too, I'll be shafted this year as I pay the mrs' insurance.

James, I went with Aviva again this year on my Import classic STi wagon, but not direstly. I think KM was the agent, but not 100%. I phoned Aviva directly and the quote was a bit more and so was the excess. Ended up paying £490. Even with increases you should be fine

I'm 42, max NCD, one SP30 and one small at fault claim (both off now)

I've just paid £392 with Adrian Flux on an 04reg WRX. Full no claims but I've got a SP30 still active. That's less than last year and I'm a women. Just shop around like I did Adrian Flux than mayched the price because I was with them last year.

I've had 15 cars in nearly 8 years and to be honest cheapest always isn't the best some of the service you get for cheap is beyond words can ever explain. so make sure you use a good insurance company that has good customer service and also cheap

gary has again pm'd me out of hours to offer me an extra small discount to be the cheapest so im not even gonna insult him by taking this matter any further and i will accept his offer of £725.
If you read this i will call tomorrow to finalise and pay in full. Top work mate and hope this helps others.

SUMMARY

A - plan Very good service and quick responses
Sky were very good and followed the rule book. They matched the best price in all fairness BUT
KEITH MICHAELS. Gary (moley) went above and beyond to beat all the rest and i appreciate that so will be taking the policy if i can call tomorrow.

START PRICE - £917
FINAL PRICE TO PAY £725

SAVING £192

2 phone calls and 5 emails all sorted. THANKS GUYS!!!

SIMPLES!!!!!!!!!!!
