Bugeye STI PPP/ Blobeye STI PPP
Hi All,
Whats the main differences between the two?
Do they share the same engine/suspension....
I know they have the same BHP, what one is the better car
Thanks in advance

Most people will say the Bug is ugly I have a Prodrive style and I actually think it's a nicer looking car than the blob with the different bumper.
Mechanically I think most will agree that the Bug has the strongest mechanicals of all the UK spec cars.

Until the wider track / DCCD of the later blobs, the UK bug and the UK Blob were basically the same underneath the skin.
I think Subaru had a shock with how ugly people thought the bug was and simply dressed it in a new blob skin............

Why? Cause I prefer the car I bought?
Really Shaun? I was sure quite a few in the know here suggested the Bug had the strongest running gear

The "early" bug had different internals, in particular the pistons were stronger, I'm not sure how long that lasted as I guess they like to build them to the lowest budget they could.

Did the Prodrive Bugeyes have the stronger internals?
As said above, unless its a late 54 (you can get them on 54) UK DCCD-A car then I just don't see the point buying a blob over a bug.
I know we spend alot of money on our cars but I would really resent paying £400 tax on a hawk - even if I could afford to spend £1000 a month on mods it would pi55 me right off.
Black Prodrive STI, chunky FMIC, lowered a bit and with those big offset wheels you can get (in white) with maybe green calipers and detailing. Thats my plan "when" I get one.

Prodrive bug-fan-boy here...
1. They changed the synchros as some early cars had problems ( STI ).
2. They tweaked the front suspension for improved "feel".
3. They add a nasty face-lift.
4. They put the price up !
