Cool

OK I've got an apartment in Italy in early July - good deal 'cos we can beat the skool holidays.
BUT what about fuel for my car - what is Italy's super unleaded or will what I save on the holiday go in replacing the engine ?
Any help very welcome !

Hi Chris,

Did a few days driving in Italy last year including Monza and Imola and generally found finding fuel ok.

Shell stations out there have Optimax but under a different name and I mostly used that. It wasn't in my scoob but the car ran fine (though I was also adding lead additive+octane booster to get 5 star equivalent octane).

So I would of thought you should be ok.

Yes , in Italy Shell has the 99 ron called V-Power. However Shell station are fewer than others.

All the other brands have 95 ron unleaded. I own a WRX 01 PPP and the engine goes perfectly with it ( just a barely noticeable loss in power).

Moreover every petrol station sell octane boosters.

Thanks for that - maybe I'll take a stock of octane booster just to be sure as the place we've booked looks a little rural !
