Default UK Turbo 2000 Overheating

Hi,

My UK Turbo 2000 has been off road since October last year. Have had it started up couple times during the bad weather etc....

Anyways, started it up tonight as it's going back on road shortly and noticed the car was overheating!

Couldn't get a good luck as light was poor, but coolant seems to be ok. The car was perfect when I put it away last year....

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it? Thermostat? Air block with it being stood for so long? Coolant change? Radiator ain't leaking, had a brand new one fitted 1000miles ago and there was no sign of wather on the floor.

Any info appreciated.

Have you checked the water level? Check in the res on the left hand side.
Do the fans come on? Does the bottom pipe oin the radiator get hot.

Could be thermostat stuck shut, or water pump packed up.

Could be an electrical fault or a wiring issue. My car is waiting an electrical 'diagnostic' due to over heating. Fan sometimes doesn't come on, and then it over heats.

Temp sensor has been checked, fan motor has been checked, first connection between fan wire and power supply checked and working. So somewhere, theres an issue with the fan getting its power / on signal. I get to find out tomorrow what the problem is, and how much it will cost.

Fingers crossed!

Think it was an air lock as the car is running fine now and temp is ok.

Cheers for replys.
