Hello all, i've recently changed the seats in my wrx as the old ones were rather nasty to say the least. However the problem i have encountered is the matching door cards for my new seats are black and my existing dash and door cards are light grey, obviously i dont want to fit black door cards as i'll need to change the dash, which i cant be arsed to do.

I've had a look at the door cards and it seems the inserts are crimped into place, is it possible to remove these without damaging the door cards?

You can cut off, or CAREFULLY drill out the crimps, they have been melted. Getting the new ones to fit and STAY fitted might be a PITA thouigh, me and my eldest did it with some out of an Ibiza Cupra, and it WAS a PITA. We ended up holding it together with ABS solvent and loads of silicone/Tiger seal. Worked, but was a day's job
