Having read so many scamming posts on here recently i though a good idea for people to instead of been able to name and shame scammers to be able to list people they have had a good transaction with. That way its easy to glance on here and see good feedback on people who deserve it just add there user name and what was bought sold etc and that way there is a thread which people can use before sending money etc additional to the trader score which i find people dont tend to use that often. Another thing people seem to say anybody asking for payment as gift means there a scammer this isnt the case always, it saves the paypal fee of 3.4% and its a way of offering items slightly cheaper i always give buyers the choice of gift or invoice just invoice is plus 3.4%.

 

What about a list that you keep up to date on 1st post like this:

Sorry but this seems like a silly idea when you have trader feedback? Users can just click the number next to your name as see your transactions..

 

everybody is entitles to their opinion i guess but if thats the case why does my score show only 1 on the trader account when ive sold 4 or 5 things on here. That shows me it isnt used, the reason i think is its not eaxactly user friendly as you have to add links etc from whats purchased and that means finding one if it wasnt from a link on here etc. This is just another way to help protect buyers on SN so surely thats not a bad thing. Im sure that the people who have been ripped of wouldnt mind extra things to help cut out the scammers. on here at a quick glance with final post you can see who deals on here a lot and who can be trusted etc.

 

Well ask for feedback when you sell things. And give feedback to those you have bought AND sold from/to. That is what it is there for and a thread like this isn't worth the hassle IMO.

 

I did ask for feedback to be left but nobody bothered to leave it, Unsubscribe if you dont like it. I know they probably wont leave anything on this post either if they dont leave feedback but anything helps when it comes to beating scammers

Whatever floats your boat mate. I would trust trader feedback over a thread where someone random could post a name with a number next to it. Plus checking a users name on a list in a thread they have to find vs clicking a number under their name.. which do you think people will be bothered to do realistically...

 

This would be a waste of time as a lot of these scammers gain trust of members by doing a few lagit deals first by selling small stuff. Or it can be easily over come by multiple accounts with many aliasis giving the same chap good feedback when in actual fact they ain't selling anything atall.

 

well i know il check both if the amount is over £100 and the trader score be manipulated in the same way as this can,

 

i see what your trying to do,but i think if the site made it more easier to leave feedback without copy and paste for sale threads and so on,more members would leave it.my wife just taught me to copy and paste links 1 month ago.

 

Sorry but the copying and pasting of the link for sale makes everything more able to be moderated. I like the system the way it is, and the more users are encouraged to use it, the better! It is a great function.

 

My kids showed me I think more would leave it if it was easier,or perhaps some instructions were there

I think the fact that there are so many parts/models/upgrages/mods for Imprezas make the site a good target for scammers.

Basically, I dont see anything except an Ebay feedback system or Scoobynet teaming up with Paypal (who I detest) to create a 2 week holding account for all transactions.

Doesnt matter how to dress it up, its a buyer giving money to a seller in the hope that he posts it.

I took 1500 quid as I direct bank transfer from a guy in Aberdeen for an engine once. The only correspondance were emails.

 

People dont leave feedback as its not exactly an easy 1 click thing to do,what with finding the thread u dealt with,copying the url etc some peeps dont bother
