At somepoint one day I will get it to a weigh bridge

Any one fancy a ballpark guess at what the weight is. Any of the breakers on here that regular post stuff out know what this stuff weighs?

Base Car MY 98 UK classic - so 1250ish

Stuff it has in that adds weight

1. A six speed box at 90 - how much more this is than a five speed I dont know?
2. Six point bolt in roll cage
3. Two four point harnesses
4. Air con
5. ABS
6. 335mm godspeed front discs - I assume these are heavier than OEM
7. Front mount
8. MD321T+

Stuff it has that is lighter

1. BC coilovers
2. Alloy front arms
3. Whiteline ARBs and alloy droplinks front and rear.
4. 17in wheels
5. Carbonetics clutch
6. Carbonetics flywheel
7. Roger Clark lightened pullies
8. Non airbag steering wheel
9. Aftermarket 3in exhaust Cobra - I asumme this is lighter

What is stripped out

1. Back seats
2. All 4 seat belts
3. Everything from the boot, carpet, everything gone
4. Space saver wheel
5. Mats
6. The whole sterro and speakers
7. front glove box

What do you think is it under 1200kg?

Had my 97 STI 3 weighed today. It came in at 1150 KG.
Rear seats, all carpets, lower half of dash, rear door cards, all the sterio equipment and spare wheel all removed.
Has a few bits on it that are lighter than the standard parts - mirrors, manifold, exhaust, etc etc.

I wouldn't of thought your car would be under 1200 KG with the cage in. I may well be wrong though.

Seeing as yours weighs that with similar bits striped out like mine - I guess mine will still weigh some where over 1200kg
