Subaru trying to tell us something?
#1
Just browsing the Subaru acessory site http://accessory.subaru.co.jp/impreza/catalog/wrx-sti/interior.html and decided to translate the text of the footwell lighting (http://babel.altavista.com/tr).
Quote "When the door is opened, illumination to illuminate the foot (the driver's seat * suicide seat), getting on and off in nighttime smoothly. Closing the door, approximately, it is the afterglow system which continues the illumination 10 seconds. * As for the twin foot lamp, the door of the front seat * rear seat, opening the rear gate, the lamp lights up. "
I am a little worried that they refer to my driver's seat as the "sucide seat". Is this the place where one is supposed to commit seppaku, or do they know something about my driving they are not telling me? The bit about getting on and off smoothly is interesting - does this refer to the clutch? How do you approximately close a door?
I love these translations.....

hardly a suicide seat with these kind of ratings:
4 stars on the NCAP (Australia branch) with 81%, more than a Golf, Focus...
"Good" and "Best pick" on the IIHS (U.S) better than the S40, Golf, Focus...
