Default A question about Road salt and another about windscreen washer fluid

I know that grit and cars historically dont mix well but how does the blob eye Impreza STI fare with it?
Modern cars are obviously less impervious to grit but is it a problem for the Impreza.

Secondly, my washer bottle contains an illuminous yellow/green fluid which was in the car when I bought it. I wish to buy some more and was hoping somebody might be able to tell me which brand it may be.

Thanks.

Could be loads of things... But I seem to remember halfrauds own brand is yellow, and their premium is a pink colour.

But every garage has their own brand, as well as the ability to mix your own. I dont think it would be much of a problem mixing them, as the worse that will happen is you change the anti freeze concentration in them.

Laza.

I HOPE you mean MORE impervious? Your car will be OK, but as with anything, it will benefit from having the underside cleaned once the salt season has finished, and as often as you can during. Normal hosepipe will do.

Thanks.
As already noted, just use decent stuff, and follow any dilution instructions.

Aye that's what I meant. I should stick to using simple terms for my simple mind.

Thanks for the info Alcazar.

i underseal my classic wrx with waxoil underseal (the black paint on stuff) twice a yr and wash every other week underneath the car with jetwash or hose, depending on my depth of clean that weekend

so far touches wood,no rust on arches i would do the same on any car made before 2004

Cheers.

Sounds like a wash, dry and an underseal is a good idea.

Is there anyway of knowing if the car has been undersealed before?
