I believe it`s the jap version of a spec D; more discrete styling, and with no rear spoiler at all. I am sure someone more knowledgable will know more. I like the look of them!

just to add to that, but it`s been said before in the last week or so; the current exchange rate with the yen means that you will be paying a high price for importing, and the general advice is to look for a good jdm car that has already been imported.

Hope you have a lot of cash
The car will set you back say 2.2-2.4 million yen, then add 10% export tax to that, handling fee also, (that's around 24k before you even see the car), esva, vat, registration, model report etc will bump that up to 30k, and considering 2 ra's sold for between 17-19k in the uk in the last month, your on to a bit of a loser.....

Were you hoping to get one fairly cheap?

Tony

Was thinking the same thing

Do you mean 10% customs and 20% vat?

The charges that Tony is referring to probably cover transport from the auction site to the port, de-registration, storage and stevedoring costs.

That's not a tax it's a fee and the has never been 10% so I doubt he means that.

I would rather barter a UK owner down than import a 2nd user car in todays current exchange rate.

Buy my spec D & put the A-Line spoiler on it, they are available from a Subaru dealer still.

Your looking at 100,000 yen agent charge £770 and £1000 for shipping( it's gone up due to the lack in space on ships) 10% customs 20% vat roughly 4.5k so your total is about 20k before it's been tested and registered which will cost an extra £12-1400.

Ok mate will do just for you

Unfortunately it's a total waste of time as you can get cheaper cars here in the UK. I reckon it will be atleat 5 years before things get better again. Thats why I have decided to bow out and persue other ventures.
