Default jap performance wheel spacer feature

hi all

In the most recent jap performance they fitted 20mm wheel spacers to their classic wagon project. It looked pretty good with the wheel arches filled out.
I always thought you only needed them to help alloys fit over big brake conversions etc.
Is there any dynamic benefit in fitting them?
Or are they more style over substance?

Read REDLINE Magazine and the feature on ways to improve your car. They do not recommend wheel spacers at all.

by offsetting the wheels your putting extra pressure on the bolts, not realy an ideal solution.

And the hubs and driveshafts, surely, not to mention the suspension?
