Default shorted stereo wire, arggggg

Now i see why you should disconnect the battery. Right problem is ive been refitting the standard connector back to the wires where the previous owner cut them to fit a crap dvd headunit. Im hoping its blown a fuse somewhere as i have no interior lights and no power to the headunit. cars a 94 import btw. Anyone shed any light on which fuses do what as ive looked at the ones under the dash and all appear to be ok.thanks guys

If its a old shape classic There are three fuseboxes; one in the passenger kick panel, one on the drivers side in the same area, and one under the bonnet next to the battery.

Haven't a clue which box it'll be.

Didnt know it had one in the pass side either. I always thought that there is one at your right knee and one under the bonnet...

My memeory is fuzzy, but I think the passenger one is just a relay box.

Looking at the table I have for a MY98 facelift. The interior light/clock fuse is in the box by the battery. But this could be different to a pre-facelift MY94.

The fuse for the stereo is in the drivers footwell. And there is another one under the bonnet by the battery. Its a 15a iirc.
