Theres a 1998 STi MAF on eBay, from a Jap car. Any chance this will work on a normal UK turbo?

Here is my 97 jap maf against my mates 97 uk car maf.

 

ok well one is a orange and one purple. which is the uk?!

yeah cheers guys, sure enough its a purple. Gutted as I'd just found an orange for sale.

can anyone get hold of a purple or knows where to buy one online?

also, I sprayed the old one with brake-cleaner and cleaned all the terminals, but made no difference. the car is now idling extremely low, dropping to maybe 100 revs, it sounds like a marine diesel , but blip the throttle and its fine, but it dies to 100 again if u go past 2k revs.

I do hope its the MAF sensor coz this has happened pretty much over night and the car is u/s
