Default Valuation for my STi please

Due to my commute now being nearly 60 a day I need a diesel mile muncher so the STi has to go.

Looking at a couple of Pasatts tonight and if either of them are any good I will buy it. Would prefer to sell private but for ease and convenience I may PX it.

So, for a private sale whats she worth -

02/52 STi (Grey import from Malta. Registered new here 10/02)
I'm the 2nd owner
57,000 miles (increasing daily)
WR Blue
Standard apart from a AFB Vortex backbox and centre section.
Almost FSH.
Last serviced in March (51,000 miles) including cambelt discs and pads all round and new rear shocks.
Excellent inside
Usual stonechips and minor scratches for an 8 year old car
12 months Tax
MOT until end March 11.

So what do you think its worth?

Cheers

IIRC although its from Malta its an EU spec car but with grey import insurance costs???

I guess its a bugeye?

Start at £6K but be prepared to accept £5K. With UK Bugeye Prodrives being much more sort after and being had starting from £6K I think any more is unlikely. Not impossible but not likely.

Yes its an EU spec bugeye.

I nearly bought a UK STi and the Insurance for this is the same as a UK STi. It has a CAT 1 Sigma alarm/immobiliser on with the relevant documentation.

Well I sold my UK Prodrive, same miles as yours for £6.4K. PPP and prodrive susp. Only 1 owner from new, me, with Full Subaru SH. Imaculate inside. Good outside too but as you say 8 yrs of stone chips.

Hope that helps...

ps. My Mum is Maltese. I used to go there a lot. They used to make a tidy sum on exportin g those cars to the UK as the dealer in Marsa was a friend of the family!

Well decision made, I'm definitley going to have to part with my STI

I start my new job and new location in mid November so it'll be up for sale on PH and maybe on here in a couple of weeks time.

It's going in to Thwaites Development for oil and filter change next week (6k miles since last service) and will have a full detail before selling.

If anyone wants more information before I post for sale, please PM me.

Ian.
