first of all there is no contest when it comes to this phone. iv got the x10 not the mini. (crap very slow) and the iphone 4 got that 2 wast of money and just a hype thing. the samsungs Screen, Sound, Internet and all the rest just smash the other phones.

and the best thing is u dont have to put your card details down straight away unlike the iphone to download free apps.

Had a play with the Galaxy S & a few of my colleagues own them. Great phone, but I wouldn't trade my iPhone for one. The HTC desire HD looks like it might be an iPhone beater though.

i have done some looking into the ihone, desire and Galaxy, and the galaxy does seem to come out ontop, i like the fact it can record in HD bigger screen, just the battery life lets it down a little,

Wait and buy the Desire HD next month.

If you like customising everything and dont like being treated like a kid buy an android device.

Correctamundo! There's tons of android devices. More and more manufacturers are turning to it as they realise they cant compete with their horse sh*te operating systems.

I personally like the Galaxy S apart from the Kies software to which you can drop & drag everything but then maybe th@ is because i'm still playing around with everything. Saying th@ if you have a Samsung tv you can control the tele via the handset watching your videos & pictures directly through the phone without having to connect any cables. Very nice phone.

Galaxy S is a lot slower than the htc desire. Desire HD will be worth the wait as has been said above. The htc sense software adds to android a massive amount and makes them the best phones on the market by far .

The galaxy s if a faster phone than the desire, I have the galaxy s and its a good phone. Samsung have quite a few apps on their site for the phone which are free. I installed plastation emulaor, GBA emu, SNES emu and Megadrive emu and I have added a couple of thousand roms so I have plenty of games to coose from. Internet is fast and you can wireless link a few ipods up and it hasn't affected my price plan. The battery is shocking if you use it alot but I just bought a pack from ebay which has 2 extra batteries and a stand alone battery charger amongst other things so I don't run out of power. I had to delete the films I used from previous phones as when they were watched on thegalaxy the picture looked crap so I just put full avi's on it now and they look fantastic but the headphones that come with the phone are on par with a set from the pound shop so you may want to buy a descent set

This seems to be the Android phone of the moment

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/oran.../763425?page=1

Might not match the Desire or Galaxy S but for £99 or cheaper, it's a very good intro to Android.

p.s there's a white version on the way and rumour that Vodafone might start selling it for a similar knock down price.

p.p.s unlock code is $3, custom rom already available on Modaco
