I have a 93 impreza it was cuttin out when breaking and comeing to a stop but now i have fitted a new maf sensor. It is no holdindg back at low and steady speed/revs but is ok when putting my foot down till 4000 rpm then it starts again, The speedo is not working at the min. could this be in limp mode because it needs a new speed sonsor??

Cheers

I think you may find the mechanical cable between gear box and speedo has come loose. Get your hand up the back of your speedo and feel about and push it back in. This is just one possibility
