Default livening up a 2.5 newage

Just wonderered if anyone can share some info on some straightforward mods for a hawkeye wrx with PPP already.

I would like it to sound a little meaner and feel a little less civilised and a bit more like a classic

any help appreciated

decat or sports cat, panel filter, and remap will get u around 280 as the td04 max out at 280-290bhp,
for more go for a vf43,35 etc and around 350 bhp is easily achieved,

thanks guys

think i would rather keep things standard on the turbo front - like the small lag characteristics

will look into a sports cat and filter though

In the quest for more classicness in my newage, one of the best mods I have done so far is bin the front subframe.

I've been looking into alternative subframes, is it worth doing? What difference have you noticed mate?

Cheers

STi suspension bobble is all but gone, which was the biggest annoyance. I have partially fitted the Summit Racing Subframe Kit bar the H-brace and plate. So front cross member and side braces atm. Car feels so much more stable and chuckable (like my classic). The rest is going on ASAP but I imagine binning the dead horse weight of the subframe makes a difference. The summit gear is unbelievably light ! Also binning the dynamic OEM droplinks in favour of solid alloy whiteline ones stops the front end moving about so much. I am convinced I can make this damn car as good as the classic but it takes time and money unfortunately.

I think the op has a wrx and not a sti, so 280bhp with ppp is a more realistic figure with the td04.

We see massive torque from these, anything up to 100 lbs ft extra from decat and remap!
