Default front brake disc size

Hi All,

I have an 01 plate impreza WRX and i need an argument settled between my garage, kwikfit and where i purchased the car.

it's a very long story and i won't bore you but i really need to know what size the disc's should be on the front? and if there should be an overhang between the pad and the disc?

cheers

D

As above, give or take 1mm or so, The pad normally sits just inside the edge of the disc, Hence why most of the time when 4 pots are removed with the discs they have a lip as the pad does not catch the outer edge, Good luck .

Yes 294mm , there should be about 1mm of disc overhanging the pads , could they have fitted the early 277mm discs which would leave the pads overhanging the discs 8.5mm
Cheers Ian
