Has anybody removed graphics?
Im toying with the idea of removing all the graphics on my scoob but I wanted to ask if anybody on here has done it before as im worried I might damage the paintwork or that the paint underneath might be a slightly different colour - not knowing how long theyve been on doesnt help either
Any advice guys??

I used a hair dryer and it peels off real easy. When i bought my boot from the breakers it had a huge logo on the back. I didn't pay attension to damage etc as i was getting it resprayed.
Going to have to risk it!

I did mine with a hair dryer, and they came off fine.
It needed a good couple of polishes to get rid of the 'shadow' the stickers left, but you'd never tell now. With a machine polisher and a decent compound you shouldn't worry.

arm yourself with
Hot water first
Then hairdryer
Have some tar remover, a clay bar and some decent polish
after that through a decent LSP on and you won't know they have been on

I think I'll brave it, going to save up for some nice wheels first though so it doesnt look too plain

Removed the graphics from my mates scooby yesterday afternoon, after work, just used my finger nails took about 2 hrs, and the car had boot, bonnet, wings, doors, spoilers done - dead easy. there were a few panels that left a bit of adhesive, but wd40 took that off without hardly rubbing. Then fitted fuel pump for good measure.

it took me 3 hours to remove all mine using a hot air gun, tar and glue remover and some polish.
the only thing i would say be careful dont get the panels too hot and dig bits of paint out when you start on the corner of each graphic

One thinng, actually two things.
How long have the stickers been on the car? if a few years then the pint underneath may be a little darker having not been exposed to the elements.
Having said that Silver is a good colour as it does not show fading as much as darker colours.
Scoob paintwork is notoriously thin and rubbish, i would use a hairdryer and do it on a warn if not hot day.

Thanks for the advice guys
Paul - I dont know how long they have been on but from what I can gather they have been on a couple of years and the car is blue so will that make it more evident when they come off?
