Quick stereo Question
Hi,
I have a 2003 WRX wagon and fancy a stereo upgrade to allow me to listen to my iPod (it still has the standard CD, tape and radio combo). I was looking at various double DIN stereos, assuming that the slot is a standard double DIN size. Can anyone confirm this?
In particular, I was looking at this unit:

I know I'll need a cable to convert the jap connectors to European, which I have, but does anyone know if this unit will "slot straight in"?
Thanks guys,
B

I dont know anything about the head unit you've posted but it is possible to use an ipod with the OEM head unit.
Loads of info in this thread https://www.scoobynet.com/ice-2/6648...ereo-done.html

Boomshanks .. If it's anything like a Clarion Double-Din unit I bought, then yes it'll fit.
What you might need to do, like I had to, is when you take out your OE head-unit there are metal brackets that hold the OE unit at the correct height and the screws holding it in .. unscrew them , then simply refit them with the screws on your new unit which should have screw holes in the same place ( so that your new unit sits at the correct height and screws back in the same way you too your old one out .. if that makes sense!)

Thanks for your help guys - all fitted and working well. Steve - great tip re: the brackets. Made the job really simple and easy, thanks.
While I was on, I upgraded the speakers in the front doors too - great way to spend a Saturday, up to your elbows in wires, crossovers, crimp connectors and MDF adapters!
Next job, underseat sub...
Thanks again,
