Default Anyone tried this before?

Decat down pipe and centre section, standard silencer on a classic? Curious as to how loud it would be?

Not bothered about that mate, the silencer is far far less restrictive than the cats. Just wondering how loudly would be

I had something similar on my ls p1, 3" open mouth decat downpipe to a 2.5" centre from TSL, the car had a tsl thundercat (think that's what it was called) back box on it, with a 5"'exit and I found it far to loud. Swapped the back box for an original P1 stamped back box (upgrade option) from the factory, so I can only imagine it was close to a prodive rear box and on normal driving the car was clearly louder I would say slightly above a ppp or prodrive car but on full beans was perfect in my opinion, had a real burble to it but not right up in your face

Boy I miss my old p1, should never of sold it

I would not suggest it on a standard sti box as these inassume would be very restrictive, agreed not as much as the cats but still. Go for a ppp / prodrive box if you want something original. There are plenty of quiet boxes out there, you don't have to settle for a nur spec. Must be getting old or something but a subtle sound on idle and town driving is my view but has to sound good when your on it
