Newbie (with a project) intro!
Hi guys,
Newbie saying hello!
I've just bought a 2000/V reg UK Impreza Turbo AWD and I'm based in Essex.
The car's generally in fantastic condition and has a very good, well documented history (full every 6000 miles).
I havent driven the car as there are a couple of issues that I am having sorted out:
The last owner had the Gearbox re-built within the last year. Even though he had a huge bill for this, it was not done properly. I am sourcing a replacement box (TY754VN1AA) rather than search for somebody else's problem - to start afresh so to speak.
The 2 x N/S Doors have been damaged under the swage lines. They are repairable, but I am opting to source 2 x doors in the same colour (2000 model year Mica Blue - ??which I believe went a shade darker on this year??)
...Anyhow I have found 2 x mint doors although they have the Subaru protective plastic strips.
[Question]: Are these strips easily removeable???
Anyways, hope to speak soon.
Gallen.
