as above take a wooden hammer shaft and wack it its the bendix sticken in the starter motor,if that dosent work put car into 2nd gear and rock from back to front that usually cures it ,failing that check battery connections and earth to chassis good luck had it on my type r few years ago.

Yeah same happened to me, wanted to start but didn't.
The ECU wiring at passenger foot-well was loose and needed to be rewired..
Other thinks could be Cam sensor, crank sensor, fuel pump, fuses etc....
I know this is very annoying.

When mine wouldnt start it turned out to be a broken PAL fuse in the fuse box under the bonnet, it was very hard to see where it had broke so have a good look.
It could also be your imob/alarm check the fuses/relays under your dash board too
If you are really stuck join the RAC its only £10 a mth and they do something called "home start" they will come out to your home and try get your car going for you

Your diagnosis makes no sense. First all you have is a clicking, likley to be battery flat or starter sticking, Then further down the thread you have fuel and spark> So Is the car cranking over or not? as you can only test for spark when its cranking?
