Default Roof Bars / Cycle Carriers

Done a search but didn't really get an answer to the question I have.

Which roof bars / cycle carriers fit an 03 Sti and which are best value for money?

Halfords recommend Thule bars and carrier but they are a universal fitting which usually does mean perfect, and I can't find anything relating to Subaru Genuine bars for the car I have.

I'm getting a roof rack and thule box for my Hawkeye from Skidrive.com.uk really good price. I think if you get the brochure from Subaru I believe they use Thule but use Subaru stickers over them

Dunno about Thule, the Subaru bars for classics were made by MontBlanc.

I have some Thule Bars that I use on my 03 Blobeye WRX, with the Halfords bike carriers. Fits well and Ive had it on the Motorways and twisty North Yorkshire roads with out issue. SkiDrive are one of the cheapest places Ive found online.

H2o-uk - wonder if you could help me?
I just tried fitting thule bars on my blobeye but I couldn't get the front bar to fit. The rear bar did.

I am using Aero bars with #1210 fitting kit and #754 feet.
Don't happen to have any pics of yours do you?

Heres a pic of my car with the bike rack fitted, took it off after I used it so hopefully this pic will show you enough. I actually had to read the manual and get the tape measure out, if you follow the fitting instructions for the correct measurements from the front windscreen and the distance inwards on the bars then it does go on. Just fit it slowly, corner at a time, wind one in a bit, then the next and so on until its in place.

The official kits are Mont Blanc and attach to the mounting points under the rain gutter, avoiding the clamps around the door frame.
