I've heard that a number plate covered in mud, purely accidentally, to make it unreadable constitutes an offence. A fixed penalty - non endorseable. i.e £30.
With the new draconian traffic laws going through a gatso at more than 10% above the speed limit is endorseable. I'm not advocating speeding in 30mph limits. Discuss

Ha,Ha great minds think alike,On last years rally GB my plates where covered in crap when I got flashed and up to now I ain't heard nothing.I'm not the worlds most frequent car cleaner but after that narrow escape I'll never wash my plates again !
Hmmm there could be a buisness opportunity here, something like "Mud in a bottle" perhaps.

The police pulled me on the M4 on the last day of the rally last year - I suspect due to the rear plate being illegible due to dirt. They say 89mph in 50mph roadworks - strangely got let off.

The police asked what the dirt was from and I replied that we were watching the rally. He asked "what rally" and I explained. "Oh right" he said!

What a laugh when I arrived at Margam to cheers and then got stuck in the mud in my BMW 330 Touring - anyone witness the above?

BTW I was Scoobyless at the time but have now rectified by buying my wife an RB5.

Sounds like good fun,I was'nt at Margam on the Sunday but I was there the day before & saw someboby plant what can only be described as a fu&%off big firework/landmine in the carpark, this was then detonated and left a considerable crater in the field, all the soil etc..went up about 100' and the majority came crashing down on someones brand new scoob,he was not impressed !
Did anyone else see this cos it was bl*%dy hilarious from where I was, shame for the scoob though !
