Default Downpipe questions

Firstly by fitting a downpipe, will I get the pops and bangs which I hear from so many classics?

What's the difference between a decat downpipe and a sports cat downpipe (performance wise and sound)?

Slightly louder on the decat, similar performance otherwise, hence why its a sports cat

Thanks for the info Tony.
Not sure I can live with having to change the pipe over for MOT day, so swaying towards a Sports Cat especially if performance will be about the same.

Will I still be able to get pops and bangs from fitting a sports cat?

i was of the same thought about MOT time, i fitted a Ninja sports cat, told the missus to warm the car up before MOT but she didnt,it failed on the emmisions with the sports Cat,but luckily the mot guy is sound and put it thru as a Non catted car,it passed, but i might as well of fitted a decat if i had known !

so,if you do know of a good mot guy,get a decat,if not, sports cat but WARM it up before MOT,up n down the bypass a few times etc,not like my missus and said yeah yeah will do,oh i forgot but it still passed didnt it,women !
