prodrive back box on STi ppp
Hi guys,
I'm a bit of a scooby-newbie so sorry if this has been answered before. I'm collecting my 2002 STi PPP in a few weeks (my first Subaru- can't wait!) and someone advised me to take the bung out of the backbox for a fruitier sound.
I wasn't aware I could do such a thing- although on the test drive it did seem a bit too quiet for me. Is is possible, advisable? If not is the full Ninja exhaust a decent upgrade? Baring in mind I do a fair bit of motorway driving, would like to amplify the legendary burble but not so much that its a pain in the a$$ on my commute to work.
Thanks peeps, all the best

The ninja is a good upgrade over the prodrive backbox,it will give a nice rumble on tickover ,but not mega droning when giving it plenty, decent price as well imho :

I'm in the same situation as you fella. I currently have a Prodrive on an 2.5 Sti which is even quieter than yours. Think I'm going to go for a Ninja II tomorrow. Had the Ninja on a WRX a bugeye a few years ago and sounded lovely.
