Default clutch/gearbox question

hi my 98 wrx had a clutch fitted about 4000m ago the bloke i got it of was told if it needed adjusting to take it back and they would do it (about 200miles from me). the downchange on mine has now got a bit hard , they dont always go in first time . i have changed the oil twice and no different . is there something to adjust or is it new clutch time cheers j

If the clutch is only 4000 miles old then no it shouldn't need replacing, surely its worth contacting the company who fitted it for advice

What's to adjust on a hydraulic actuated clutch?

Sounds a bit suss to me.

One of the cylinders may have developed an internal leak causing the clutch not to disengage fully. Unusual but does happen. Certainly not an adjustment tho.
