JCT Cars, Rotherham
Anyone bought Subaru's from these? how were the cars, aftersales, part ex prices and finance offers?
Be good to know if they are good to use or be avoided.

I bought mine from Jason over a year ago now and did not have any problems...
Trade-in price he gave me was very good too! No problems with the car whatsoever apart from the CEL came up for the Knock Sensor which was replaced free of charge, no questions asked under a 3 month warranty.
So happy with the service that I recommended him to my sister and she bought a WRX 300 off him approx 6 months ago also with no problems!
His wife even fed my 4yr old whilst the wife and I were doing the paperwork!

echo the above. I found Jason to be a pleasant guy and, again, he offered me a good price part ex on my astra coupe. Best I could get, in fact. Had no trouble with the car really so can't comment on after sales support etc. Personally wouldn't hesitate about buying from him again, based on my experience.

I went to see a grey blob STi he had in a while back, nice chap. Seem to know a fair bit about scoobies, although told me to steer clear of imports as "they blow up" lol.
His prices are top end though, you could buy private for about 2/3's of those prices most of the time. Just something to be wary of as most people will be worried about resale values of these cars at the moment.

I'm actually seeing hesitation issues when I'm on boost. I'll be taking it up to JCT cars this week. I did speak to them and they said the warranty only covers major mechanical repairs so not sure if they are going to fix it free of charge or not. I've only had the car for 3 weeks so I'm hoping they do. Will keep you updated with how JCT deal with it and what the outcome is.

Spot on, bought my RB5 3 years ago no problems at all. Prices might be more than others but there is the warranty that is included he doesn't get that for free so will be more money. I had a problem with the car after a few weeks and the warranty covered it to the tune of £1600 absolutely no problem.

Fingers crossed they fix it on warranty. All I'm doing is keeping people informed!

Well JCT sorted me out so a big thanks to them.
It turned out to be the boost solenoid which Chris and Jason (JCT) supplied and fitted yesterday. My car now has a smooth power arch and my face now has a big grin again.

Bit of a bump, but just googled this trader and found this thread! Should have searched here first!
This is interesting. I've been wanting to go view and look at a Scooby for a while. But google'd a few of the common traders and found bad news. Very rarely do these cars come up at main dealers also.
I saw this JCT cars have a fair few and didn't think much of it, but I live about 10 minutes away from this location actually. I drive past the place daily. Wasn't sure about buying a car like this from a small place. But based on what you say here, seems like it might be worth a punt.
They do seem to stock Scoobs often.

Owjen I see people saying prices are hi and you can get then cheaper from privets, yes you can but look what's been said, he's clearly good with his warranties even putting a engine in a evo for someone, you don't get that from a privet

I went to look at two cars at JCT about a year ago and they were both described as mint/immaculate etc but in the flesh were pretty rough and about £1500 overpriced.
Jason treated me to a pretty scary/impressive passenger test drive though

JCT cars rotherham- Top trader 5*
My son bought his first car from Jason back end 2013- C2 1.6i. Got a great deal for an immaculate car + tax, test, 2 new tyres & service. Had short warranty so when I heard noise under bonnett that didn't sound right when cold in the morning (i'm an engineer- not a mechanic!) I took it back to jason & chris who checked it out but could not hear the problem. Instead they extended the warranty by 3 months to cover any fault developing.
After this the suspension collapsed on one side.
Took the car back (on trailer) over the weekend & by Tuesday morning it was fixed.
Jason replaced the springs & the strut bearings (?) on both sides just to be sure- with NO CHARGE. 100% satisfaction in my experience- no fuss- no backtracking. Man of his word- would recommend & use again.

Yes thought i put this up i got my first wrx in jan this year and had no problems with Jason was very welcome and gave me loads of time to go over the car and the folder of paper work that came with it and answered all questions without hesitation. When I went there was 3 wrx all looked in excellent condition would recommend going and looking at what he has and for the prices you can alway haggle .

He just bought my subaru off me a week ago. I was at work . No hassle easy sale I was told and a really nice guy. Just got a letter though from police saying I didn't pay for fuel 10 mins after he left with it after buying it .
