Don't bother with a new one, get one of these two which are much better value;

Chucksters car
DrEvils car

Well Lane turbo centre have got a silver one coming in next week - Silver is the best colour IMHO - but I would say that wouldn't I....

Greg - have a word with Showroom4cars.com on 0870 753 4444 (based in Chesterfield). they had some recently, and will probably be getting some more in very soon. Know them well, and they're good blokes. Speak to Adrian or Paul, and say you've been recommended by Harry Boy on Scoobynet....

Gregarious, I had my heart set on WR Blue, I couldn't get early delivery on that colour so I opted for my second choice (silver), and I am glad I did. I really do like the silver now. It looks superb in the flesh and the panel lines, curves and grilles at the front side show up well in silver. I don't think I would want a WR Blue one now. (This does not mean I don't like WR blue - its a superb colour)

Triangle of Chesterfield have a silver one in their showroom. Go get it ! Before someone else does

Wink

Its worth considering chucks and Dr E's as these cars have been tastefully tweaked already ie. you dont have to start from scratch and you will modify. First job I would have to do on a brand new bug eye is to sort the styling out.

Chrisp, I am sorry M8, but one day you WILL have to buy a MY01/02/03/04 which isn't a MY94-00. I had to make the agonising decision to part with my MY99. And I can tell you and every other "bugeye" hater on this board I have not regretted it one bit. Time moves on, move with the times...
I'll tell you what the "bugeye" has bags more grip on a testing road.

Puts on fire proof suit in readiness for the replies

Yorkie, No problem like I said I would have to do some styling tweaks as it seems Subaru themselves have done - WRC, STi, UK300, even some of the dealers are getting in on the action, a large number of MY01/02 owners have done .

I actually went to talk to my local dealer about a new UK STI . I have had two Subarus from new and UK and an import and this would be my third so I guess I like them . Personally, I still have a issue over power to weight and IMHO it would be a step backwards from nearly 300 bhp and 1200kgs to 265bhp and 1400kgs. I will probably get the comment back, the STi has 6 gears so the ratios are closer, not really an issue as my 5th gear is a similar ratio to a UK 4th, but I love an extra gear and I have often whilst in auto pilot mode looked for a 6th . Maybe if the PPP comes out and it makes a proper 300+ . At the moment the MY00 does me fine so I am not in any rush so maybe an MY03 400bhp STI (now thats how rumours start )

Someone told me a few years back Subaru dont make a bad impreza turbo and I am sure that statement is still true today.

Cheers

Chrisp

So Greg - seeing that we all completely hijacked your thread Mate..... Have you got any further with your quest?

Ring Alain Knockaert in Ypres and see if he's got any cancellations (or any idea on dates). Tel 0032-57-20.20.66.

Or try Showroom4cars.com (tel 0870 753 4444). They had some on short delivery recently - might be worth a go.....

Doesn't anybody like DBM these days? On the old shape it was THE colour to have. I went for DBM on my 01 WRX wagon aswell, and don't regret it. Just a bit hard to keep clean! There's no element of anonymity in a WRX blue car, and IMHO (depending where you live)you might end up regretting that choice.

By the way, my home town is Wakefield, so its grand and champion to see so many folks from Gods Own County on this bbs

Cheers,

Rich

Greg - My mate at Showroom4cars.com (Adrian - we go back a long way!) reckons that they have one available inside a month for about £18,500 all in. Might be worth a word. Phone number is 0870 753 4444.
