Just a thought Dave. If you put mesh on the front it has the effect of reducing air flow and I am yet to come across a Hybrid FMIC core that has been punctured by any flying stones from the road. Yes the mesh can look good but do you want to restrict air flow?
I guess the counter to that is that the Hybrid core is so much bigger than required that it is on top of the job anyhow so losing a bit to the mesh doesn't matter.

I had a stone go through my water rad on by Citroen van Couldn't believe it chances of that. so maybe a mesh is a good thing I did have it repaired tho for not a lot of money.

I've had a pheasant go through a plastic grille and end up cooked on the water radiator
If the plastic hadn'rt been there it would have terminated the rad as well as itself

Carried on driving it, but had to stop about 4 times to keep filling it up with water. Have it mapped with how your going to drive it. So if you intend to mesh it do it like that. Really cant see it will make any difference either way unless your going to use a tight patern of mesh. Somthing like the Zun sport ones would be fine.
