To me, there's nothing worse or more sad than a plate that purports to mean something but actually doesn't. For instance, plates like S90 OBY. Dreadful and pointless.

The mrs has * 9OPS, her childhood nickname was Pops, it has stuck throughout her whole life so I got her that.
I do find a lot of people have an irrational hate of private plates, Very strange thing to get worked up about.

+1 Tim.

I have an EVO plate for the inevitable change, but again like my N555 WGN it's not messed about with or squint inducing to read it. EV02 STU. I rather like the one I have seen locally B16 POO, laughing feels much better than repressed hatred for private plates

Here is mine

I have had mine for about 15 years now. I get a few people asking me what the V is for but most know it is 5, in roman numerals. I used to have it on a square plate with HIGH on the top row and the 'V' on the bottom but i got in too much trouble.

If your gonna get technical WRC actually stands for World Rally Championship but i see what you were getting at.

Im not a plate hater, i just think there are tons of other cool things you can buy for your car, they kinda rank up there with ripspeed windscreen wiper spoilers

I just wanted one and my name would be too dodgy on a plate to make it look anywhere near right! so opted for this!

I bought ST 10 WRX when the new plates came out a month or two back. Didn't realise I couldn't put it on an old car (mong) common sense really. I probably could have made a couple of quid on here with it but just sent it back. It only cost me £390 would look the nuts on a new STI

Being a big Colin Mcrae fan i always loved the early subaru rally cars and my plate is a close as possible to L555BAT. There are quite a few Scottish subaru owners over on SIDC with L555BA* plates.

I also have G7PRS on my family car, the PRS are my initials and the plate was a present for my 21st quite a few years ago.

My old neighbour had L1CKR

I assumed he owned a off license or something until one night (at a another neighbours house party) he told me his Mrs was an Ex **** star

I heard after that they also still "dabbled" in home videos...

I moved house shortly after that
