Default what will time attack pro be like in 2010

as the title suggests really, looks like club and club/pro are going to be full again this year with so many new builds all over most major forums for club and club/pro, but for the tuner entries the recent financial climate has sadly taken its toll on some of the teams which is a real shame.
so who will we see, will the gobstopper be back?, and if so with zen not competing this year who will challenge to olly for the 2010 title?, will simon norris be back with his bogey, will any new tuners enter the fray or any come backs for 2010 that missed 2009, will RCM be flying the subaru flag and take it to the pro evos alone, with the american time attack pro or( tuner unlimited class as the yanks prefer) looking pretty hot for 2010 will our pro class still be the best as it has been for many years.

I know of at least four new pro entries that should prove to be quite entertaining, taking the challenge to the top of the crop.

Half of the cars in club should be in club pro anyway, infact any car owned/built and raced by a tuner/mapper/company etc shouldent be in club full stop!!

If they are comming in and going straight into the top flight then good for them for having the ***** to do it and not take the easy option of club

shoud be cool, any entry from your stable? i know the new plan for norris developments is a supercharged +turbocharged 1000 bhp engine is in full development and testing, dyno graphs are up on mlr thats gonna be interesting

Not relating to what I said, but some others may get a bit upset with that statement of yours... hence the

Utaka,
Something that has been proven with previous years, it is not all about bhp. Mr Norris has always had a bit of a head start on the power front, but it has never really gained those top slots because of it. Will be interesting to see how the new engine performs though.

yup cant wait to see the green bogey in action again, mind you i was looking forward to seeing it last year as well and didnt get a sniff of it

Was it not 1000BHP with still some more on tap though?

Dunk,

I assume you're refering to among others, Duncan Graham?

When he won the club title in 2009 he was not a tuner in his own right, and spent a fraction of what a lot of people seem to think. When his engine went at the end of knockhill, it was repaired with my old pistons, some donated parts and much of the work was done himself. Many of his 2009 upgrades were my cast offs purchased second hand for bargain prices, including some tyres that meant he only bought one set of new tyres for the entire year. He even borrowed a set of our wheels and tyres at Snetterton because his were so worn.

Duncan's car was his daily driver, and he paid for all the work to be done by Zen, although most of the work done at Zen was done by duncan to cut costs, he even brought a long his own tools.

think it was aimed at me to be honest, i can take it though, pretty thick skinned from posting on here for 12 months now as everyone who is in it to win it said its not the car its not the power its the driver

FYI the zen car will be competing in TA in 2010 probably made to run in Pro with it's new completely un-pro driver/owner.

here here, if its not at tuner entry with a licensed race driver as pilot the driver and car should begin at the start and progress just as duncan has, the time attack team will be pretty strict this year it seems, and you will get moved class immediately if the car is to quick

good im glad that the car will be running, doing what it was built for
has the drier got a race licence obviously to be running in pro.

Every year is different with new names and old names alike. I will not be in club challenge this year so will have to make my car more of a dedicated racer which is a shame. As Paul said last year was not about budget or power but teamwork and the secret Zen recipe.

This year will be done on a complete shoestring again - who knows whether the car and I can step up a class and still be competitive with sub 600 on a full weight shopping car with added weight of cage and aero. I hope we can.

I'll try to find a lighter wax or put a thinner layer on to save you a gram or 2 looking forward to the TA this year. Some big promises by people. Will be interesting to see what's gone on in the closed season. (And hopefully pick my crash helmet up from Rob or Andy )
