Non-DCCD six speed should be around £1300, IMHO.

haha its not that i want to destroy it put it lasted a year at 350 bhp/343 ft lbs torque so im assuming it would only last 5 mins at 400/400 does the guy u know upgrade internals or just rebuild to oe spec?

i am currently building a time attack subaru the car will run in the region of 500 - 530 bhp on optimax more on race fuel. i was addiment i needed a dog box but after seeing how hardcore the six speed is i have saved myself a big wedge of money by staying with the six speed. this would be your best option instead of reaching your power target and buying gearbox after gearbox. buy yourself a six speed, you wont regret it

Well I was haggling with "Blenk" near York around the £1200 mark to pull it off ebay to avoid fees, ebay items are way overpriced IMHO.
£2600 is half the cost of a whole 02 STI...

Hi dude,it came out of an early STI RA (think it may have been a 93 but not sure).
From what ive heard its the strongest classic box subaru ever made.
Im no expert, but cant see there being a problem as its been in the original RA,then in my old 94 WRX and now my 98 type R without any issues.
You'd get the prop with it too which ive been told is worth £300 on its own for a 180,but i havent a clue....
You would need to get an after market DCCD controller though..thats if you wanted to use the DCCD.
In down the south east mate,Guildford,35miles south west from London....

hmmmm you only live in knottingley do you.i can almost feel a deal coming on.i,m about 1minute down the road in ferrybridge,i'm breaking a my99 classic which i beleive has a recon newage box in,must be from a wrx,or i have a wagon with the type r box in with dccd.but as said if your going to be running much more power you will have to start saving for that 6 speeder.i had one of those awsell mid summer which i took from my car and sold for £1500.
