Default Sigma alarm remote

Have a 2002 sti and want to change battery in sigma alarm remote it is not flat yet , can you just take battery out and replace or will it need coding after , also how does the back cover on the fob come off ?

ive changed mine without having to re code it, it takes 2 watch style batteries, you should have a small metal type piece which came with the alarm, you put that into the slots on the rear of the fob (the round bit) and turn it
