Default well well well very happy

right i have a 51 bugeye wagon with 101000k full subaru historry with a pannel filter and a rear exhaust and turbo gauge as my upgrades, took it down to allan jefferys in plymouth for them to do a diagnostic and rolling road,
the guy said there were no fault codes now or storred which is good.
i asked him what power i should expect and he said for this age etc (also running on 95 ron fuel) that i should expect about 185-200bhp..
he did 2 runs and both came out at 208.5, he said that was really good for this car.
i was well chuffed, he also said if i put 97 ron in or vpower i could get another 10 bhp when ecu has relearned itselfe.
so is this right do you think another 10 bhp if i change fuel
also for a 8 year old car with100k on i thought these results were very good,
he also said for £500 he could get me up to 250-260bhp with a remap is this good value
cheers for advise and replys

Not sure exactly how much by, but by using a good SUL you will get more power. Plenty of people have seen a negative effect by using a poor quality SUL, BP being particularly bad. You'll find a lot of people using Tesco 99 or V-power

£500 for a remap is a good price, most are about £100 or so dearer.

the age of the car shouldn't really effect the power figure so long as it's been well maintained and is in good working order - that might be a big if though. You should see some improvement on this using V-Power or similar. on an STi I would expect the gain to be more than 10hp but it's difficult to estimate it and there are so many other variables anyway.

Personally I would (and do) always use V-power (now LPG) as you get better performance and so long as you don't keep your foot to the floor this translates to better economy which balances out the extra cost.
