Default lambda sensor help

hi guys finaly got my car back on the road after new engine and turbo, put it thru the mot but it failed on emissions, the man said its ment to be 2% or something but mine was 7% because it didnt have a cat on it, so i went home and put a cat on and ttook it back for a retest but it failed agen this time at 11% ? the cat hasnt been used for 5years so i think it could be that also i have a spare lambda sensor for a subaru but the newer one off the 98version is there any way i could put this on my car its got two white wires and a black wire, but my car has a white, yellow and red (the same wire) and black with a white line on it.

any help would be great

Connect the black to the white (signal wire), then connect the other 2 up in any order (heater wires).
