Default Help Please - Braided Brake Hoses

Ive been looking around on here and google, for a how to on fitting Braided Brake Hoses. As one of my first mods to my 03 WRX, I'm going to install a set of goodridge hoses, and being fairly compliant with a spanner and socket set I thought I'd do it myself. Probably going to replace the fluid with DOT5.1 too whilst im at it. Would anybody happen to know where I can find a how to anywhere on line. Or is this something best left to a local garage or main Dealer to fit ?

Thanks in advance.

mate IMO if you dont already know how to do it id get it done by someone else... wont be much at all and were talking about something life or death so not worth the test drive to find out if you have brakes or not... its not hard but very dangerous if not done right

dont go main dealer though!!

while i hate it when people ask for advice and all they get is get someone to do it for you responses when it comes to brakes it reaaly is a case of if you dont know then dont do it.

On the whole its not that hard a job unless everything is siezed then it can be a tit on but as stated it really could be a life or death thing.

its just not worth it

Understood, I'll have a word with some of my friends, see which garages they use locally and have them give me a quote. Do we think it would be a long job, or are we talking a couple hours labour, all being well ?

It's not a hard job. Just double check everything.

Can supply both Goodridge Braided lines and decent brake fluid - don't buy fluid based on the DOT rating.

Give me a call on 01462 488244 to order as they aren't available to order online on their own just yet.
