'92 WRX Import Gearing
Hi guys,
Purchased a '92 WRX Import and the gearing seems very high or I am not used to it yet
For example 100mph in 5th gear the revs sit at around 5K RPM not hit the limiter yet, but there is only another 2K to play with when on the autobahns.
Is this the norm? Or have I got a gearbox which is not designed for this car?
In comparison I have a '05 WRX with a 5-speed and at 100mph its doing around 4K RPM.
Your guidance is appreciated.

f you find the code on your gearbox then have a look hear The SPDA - Transmission Chart this should give you some idea of what ratios you are running

Is it easy to find the gearbox code from the top of the engine ie, looking under the bonnet?
