Default 60,000 Service

Folks,

How much for the following - assume £40 per hour labour

60,000 mile service - including cam belt etc

New rear pads - I think he said they were around £50
New Ferodo pads in front - I can't remember how much he said they were going to be

New front discs - I think he said they were about £130

aswell as the above, I have squeaky suspension at the front so he's going to grease up whatever needs greased, check bushes etc

Aren't you a newage? Cambelt is 50k...

60k is the big big service

plugs
engine oil
diff oil
all filters etc

plus your brake parts you could be in for around 80 notes here...

the 60k service is about 400 as is.

Of course if it is a classic then you can probably ignore a lot of that...

Yep - newage MY05 STI.

Cambelt at 50K - you sure?
The place doing the work even made a point of telling me about the cambelt and importance of having it changed.

Yes cambelt at 50k and everything else at 60k

Do you have the service book? If not i could try to scan mine for you... 60k is the big service and I believe you are well over for the cambelt. It might also need tensioners etc too which adds more expense to this service for you.

Let me know if you would like that scan.

Cheers,

Its had its 50K done by the dealer I bought it off.
Obviously I can't check the receipt - cause its in the bloody car

But I'd imagine if the belt was due then they'd have done it.

In that case - no cambelt so money saved there!

Good luck chap.

mine had 60k service a couple of months ago, subaru wanted £590 + VAT IIRC, local garage did it for £360, they used all subaru parts, recommended oils ect and even rang subaru just to make sure they knew what they were doing before they started
