Scooby Values...........?
Just checking out the current market on Scoobies...
How much will my MY97 'R' Plate Red scooby be worth next year? It has 55,000 miles on the clock now and next year it will have just over 67,000 miles approximately.
It is totally standard apart from the 16" Gold Speedline alloy wheels, MY99/00 highline spoiler, and the clear front and side indicators.
I've seen a few 98 'R' plates on here for around 11K....
Would it be better to sell my scoob this year or wait another year when hopefully the market will settle (???)...stupid question really...
P.s. I'll be looking to replace the scoob with probably a 98 'R'/'S' VW Golf GT TDi 110..they seem to be around the same value at the moment.
Cheers

Cant see how anyone can answer this one, the price next year !!
What was your car worth this time last year and deduct the difference from what its worth today, might give you a clue on what you will lose in the next 12 months.

Hell There!
I looked in the latest Parkers Price Guide yesterday and the current value of my MY97 'R' Scoob was 10,500GBP and in September of last year it was 11,300GBP. This was the 'Good' price as I believe that the A1 price is what a dealer should put it on the forecourt at. This is a depreciation of 800GBP.
Although looking at a Golf GT TDi the value in September for a 98 'R' was about the same for a 3-door version. Although the value in the current guide lists just over 9,000GBP. I looked at the cars in the guide with the same value as mine 10,500GBP and the guide listed 99 'T's' for this price.
It seems that the Golf has lost more money than the Scoob. The other question is it as easy to find a Golf..?
