Default inner wing resonator

hi does my98 wrx wagon have one if so what is the gain of removing it and will it still get enough air flow cheers j

Not sure about your car but I removed mine on my 03 WRX and replaced it with a hose direct from the airbox to a ram scoop thingy in the foglight cover, which I had to drill a large hole to fit in. Also had to remove the foglight permanently. Never used them anyway.

Not much difference to be honest apart from a bit more noise. The engine does run a bit cooler now too. The needle has dropped about 3mm or so on the temp gauge.

i had one on my 98 saloon would have thought yours would be the same

is it an easy job to remove it? might do it to mine. ive got an induction kit on my 98. would it let more air in?

It is an easy job. You just need to remove the wheel then whip off the plastic inner arch. If you have an induction kit fitted, I would assume you've bypassed the silencer/snorkel thingy anyway. But if the induction kit is still under the bonnet you'll just be sucking in hot air which you don't want. Put you new filter through into the inner arch and you'll get a proper cold air feed.
