Urgent Tax Question
I am about to buy a Motorbike that is currently disclared off the Road.
The seller is no longer insured on the bike, so is unable to Tax it.
I will be getting insured on the bike before i buy - after i have seen it over the internet..
How can i ride the bike back or Tax it?? or can i ride back and if i get pulled - will be buying the bike be ok? as i will also have the recipt..

would be a risk riding it think the only grace you get is for mots going to and from the test staition. If you can get the document number off the V5 go on line and tax it that way takes two minutes as long as its insured

If you have the insurance cover note. I am pretty sure you can tax it with the New Keeper slip from the V5. (You definetly used to be able to do this) Just do that at a local post office before you ride it away.
